2nd Annual Beatnik Hop October 20, 2007

Chas Gaudi Presents , Arte del Leone and the North Beach Chamber of Commerce announce the Second Annual Beatnik Hop, Saturday, October 20 at Live Worms Gallery 1345 Grant Ave. (at Green), North Beach, San Francisco from 9 pm to 1am. A mix of the sacred and profane, the evening is a tribute to the original Beat spirit with a nod to the Beatnik culture that arose in the late 50s/early 60s.

Visuals, and sounds provided by DJ Chas Gaudi: spontaneous prose and jazz, Kerouac typewriter station (write your own "On The Road"), goofing.

This is a BYOB event (Bring Your Own Beret/Bongos) and Fancy Dress is requested (please shine your sandals and comb your chin cabbage). Libations will be available with a suggested donation.

Chas Gaudi Presents is Pete Gowdy (aka DJ Chas Gaudi). Winner of The SF Bay Guardian's "Best of the Bay" award for Workin' Stiff (a series of early evening rock and roll shows) and host of the popular Shellac Shack (the Bay Area's only weekly 78 rpm DJ night.
