In 2005 the Texas Pete Twin City RibFest began in a church parking lot in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. Its immediate success helped it gain national recognition in Bon Apetit magazine and MarthaStewart.com, as well as being named Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Bureau.
