Ernestine L. Rose, a rabbi's daughter from Poland, became one of America's earliest women's rights activists in 1836, advocating for women's rights & women's suffrage, abolition of slavery and religious freethought. Many of the freedoms we enjoy today result from her vision, courage and commitment. Join us to light a birthday candle in honor of her 200th birthday, and to share her birthday cake and your vision for activism in the present and future.
