The 32nd annual Asian American International Film Festival will present a showcase of original feature films, short films, documentaries, and other works by artists from throughout the world. All programs will be screened at Clearview Cinemas in Chelsea on July 23-26, with an opening gala on July 23 and an awards ceremony on July 26. A full festival schedule of events and highlights of this year’s proceedings is forthcoming.

The AAIFF began in 1978 as the first U.S. film festival to specifically showcase Asian and Asian-American media. It has been held annually ever since, spotlighting feature films, short films and documentaries by artists of Asian descent. Highlights of recent festivals include Jennifer Phang’s Half-Life, Chen Shi-Zheng’s Dark Matter and Aaron Stewart-Ahn’s music video for the Decemberists’ “O Valencia.” We place a substantial focus on local and independent works, and we're always working to build a more vibrant Asian arts community in the New York metropolitan area.
