2008 RAMMY Restaurant Awards Gala Celebration June 29, 2008

The 26th Annual RAMMY Restaurant Awards Gala, themed “Setting the Global Table,” will be a celebration of the global influences on the cuisine of the nation’s capital. At this year’s Gala, presented by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), the area’s finest restaurants and culinary stars will be joined by renowned personalities and many of the city’s celebrated embassies, in honoring the region’s top chefs and restaurateurs on Sunday evening, June 29th at the Marriott Wardman Park.

Individual tickets for the 26th Annual RAMMY Restaurant Awards Gala are priced at $200 for RAMW members and $250 for non-RAMW members. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington Education Foundation’s scholarship program. The program helps area high school students develop viable careers in the restaurant industry, by providing scholarships for post-secondary education in hospitality-related fields. Scholarship recipients who were funded by the RAMMY Awards proceeds last year are currently pursuing their culinary studies at the Culinary Institute of America and Johnson and Wales.
