The 2nd Annual Charlotte Film Festival is committed to bringing to Charlotte the best of independent cinema.

This year, the festival gets underway on Thursday, September 6 with an Opening Night Gala and Awards Ceremony, which it will host on the rooftop of the Mint Museum, in the heart of Uptown.

Following that and before concluding on the evening of Sunday, September 9, the festival will screen more than thirty narrative, documentary and international features and short films from all around the glove; many of them world premieres. Attendees will also have access to film-related panel discussions as well as electrifying after parties.

Tickets go on sale online August 6 at www.CarolinaTix.com. During the event, tickets can be purchased at the door or at the Festival's hub which will be located at the Levine Museum of the New South. Ticket prices vary.

Most venues are within walking distance of one another, so park your car early and plan on enjoying yourself the whole weekend.
