2006 Western Art Directors Club Miniature Art Auction CRE8X8X8 September 23, 2006

The 2006 WADC Miniature Art Auction: CRE8X8X8, to be held Saturday, September 23, 2006, from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the Palo Alto Art Center, in Palo Alto. The miniature masterpieces will be available for preview from 4:00-6:00 p.m., with the auction following from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The $15 per-person admission price includes a complimentary buffet and wine. All proceeds from the auction benefit WADC and The Rick Tharp Scholarship Fund. Admission and art is payable by cash or check; credit cards cannot be accepted.

Artists interested in donating their work to this event can submit up to four pieces no larger than 8x8x8 inches. The submission deadline for artists is Friday, September 1, 2006.

A long-running and popular event, the WADC Miniature Art Auction has sold works of art in past years from internationally-famous designers, illustrators and photographers, including Charles Spencer Anderson, Milton Glaser, Michael Osborne, Rick Tharp, Gerald Bybee, Louise Fili, Kit Hinrichs, R.J. Muna, Jane Sperry Eisenstat, David Lance Goines and Ward Schumaker.

For the art lover, this is a great opportunity to meet the artists and acquire one of these creative gems. Together, the artists and buyers will be proud to know that their purchases benefit creative students in the Bay Area.
