The International Biology Olympiad (IBO) is a unique event designed to discover, to encourage and challenge exceptionally gifted young students from all over the world. The event represents a "celebration" of the best in higher secondary school Biology and over 55 countries are expected to participate this year. Every participating country sends four students, who are the winners of the respective national competitions. They are to be accompanied by two team leaders as representatives of each country.
