17th Century Florentine Painting: Selections From the Haukohl Family Collection June 11, 2009

This exhibit features works from the largest collection of seventeenth-century Florentine art in America. Experience exquisite paintings by Cesare Dandini, Alessandro Gherardini, Giovanni Domenico Ferretti, and others -- artists whose work is predominately only seen in Italy. This special grouping of artists, first patronized by the Medici Princes, will delight and intrigue viewers with richly evocative renderings of period portraits as well as classical religious-based Old Testament and mythological themes.
