12th Annual Arvada Chocolate Affair

ARVADA, CO – It’s time to contact your sweetest friends to make plans to attend the 12thAnnual Chocolate Affair in Historic Olde Town Arvada. On Saturday, February 9, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. bite-sized chocolate bliss will be at the forefront – and guilt free! Every delicious treat is for a great cause with proceeds benefitting Ralston House, a child advocacy and resource center for kids who have been abused.

Presented by the Arvada Festivals Commission and Historic Olde Town Arvada this event features:

· The Taste of Chocolate – Your taste buds will enjoy cakes, candies, brownies, fudge, chocolate drinks and unimaginable cocoa creations – for a price of only $5.00 you will receive six taste tickets. Tickets will be sold on-site.

· The Chocolate Treasure Hunt – from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., complete your treasure hunt sheet for the chance to win a prize large enough to satisfy a chocoholic’s cravings! You will discover unique stores throughout Olde Town while searching for Chocolate Clues.

· The Chocolate Cookie Contest – a competition for amateur bakers to show off their skills in either the creatively decorated cookie contest or the best chocolate chip cookie. The contest is open to all ages and a first, second and third prize will be awarded for both categories. For more information on how to enter, call 720.898.7400.

· Entertainment for the Youngest Choco-beasts – activities include storytelling, face painting, and balloon artistry.

The day is also great one to share with your sweetheart! Treat your special someone with a romantic carriage ride to look at the giant hearts on display throughout Olde Town.
