Thousands of athletes from around the globe will take over the streets of San Francisco for the 102nd annual Bay to Breakers, one of the world’s largest and longest running footraces. This classic 12K (7.46 miles) is a long-standing tradition that attracts an eclectic mix of more than 50,000 participants including elite athletes, centipede teams of 13, celebrities, costumed racers, corporate co-workers, families, marathon runners, weekend walkers and more.

Spectators are invited to enjoy this quintessential San Francisco event from several vantage points throughout San Francisco: the start line downtown; the Crest of the Hayes Street Hill at Alamo Square; Golden Gate Park; and the finish line along the Great Highway. In addition to the race, spectators will enjoy creative costumed characters at the annual Costume Contest, as well as live music, food, interactive activities, the Greater Body Expo and more.
